Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - (1/4/2017) – Reaching 100 points or more for the second time this season and at least 90 points in three of their last four contests, Chestnut Hill College showcased their high-paced offense in a 108-80 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) triumph over Post University this evening. Six Griffins finished in double figures with 19 points apiece from sophomore guard

The Chestnut Hill College (8-5, 4-3) offense did not yield for the full 40 minute engagement, jumping out to a 34-21 lead by the end of the first quarter. The deficit would grow to 18 points, 58-40, by halftime as turnovers and an inferior first half shooting performance (52.5%-44.7%) mired Post University (1-13, 1-5). The second half offered more of the same as the Scarlet and Gold increased their lead to 20 points, 60-40 (9:19), on Trossi's initial basket of the third quarter and later to 30 points, 80-50, on a Trossi jumper with five minutes (5:10) remaining in the period. From there, the Chestnut Hill College advantage continued to grow, maxing out at 35 points, 89-54, at 1:31 and resting at 33 points, 91-58, heading to the fourth quarter of play. At that point, there was little to Eagles could do to sway the decision as the final score left the visitors with a 28-point, 108-80, loss.
Off the bench, senior forward Tyra Jones (Rochester, N.Y.) led Post University with 22 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and a steal. Three others joined her in doubles figures; junior guard Abriana Diana (Hartford, Conn.) offered nine rebounds, seven assists a block, and a steal, to headline that group. Meanwhile, senior guard Deaisia Acklin (New York, N.Y.) totaled 13 points, six rebounds, seven assists, a block, and two steals, and sophomore guard Gabriela Middleton (Coral Springs, Fla.) recorded 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
For Chestnut Hill College, Trossi supported her 19 points with five rebounds, six assists, and two steals, while Kuhnen's 19 points came with six rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal. Sophomore forward

Brittany McDonough (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was the fourth Griffin starter to reach double figures; she paired her 11 points with two rebounds, three assists, a block, and three steals. Off the bench, double digit scoring efforts came from juniors, guard
Vicky Tumasz (North Wales, Pa.) and forward
Nicole Parriski (Burlington, N.J.). Tumasz hit four three point shots (4-of-9, .444) to finish with 14 points while Parriski added seven rebounds and two assists to her 10-point effort.
