Corrine Kalala (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) was the Griffins' key offensive threat with her match-high 14 kills while four others recorded double digit digs in a united defensive effort.
Chestnut Hill College (9-20, 8-9) kept a close grip on Post University (15-12, 13-4) in the opening set, never trailing too far behind until an ace by sophomore outside hitter
Reily Byxbee (Madison, Conn.) tied it at 24-24. Unfortunately, the Eagles scored the last two points of the frame on a kill by junior outside hitter Sarah Seger (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) (25-24) and a Griffin miscue, 26-24 (1-0). The second set saw the Scarlet and Gold emerge from a 9-9 tie with a 5-0 run on the service of junior setter
Kennedy Sutton (Chesapeake, Va.). Sutton lit the fire under the Griffins, who grew a small lead, 9-7, before a lengthy run of serves from sophomore defensive specialist
Janie Green (Hayes, Va.) extended their lead to as many as seven points, 16-9, in an eventual 25-15 (1-1). Chestnut Hill College got an early, 6-3, lead in the third and gradually pulled away for the Eagles in a 25-16 (2-1) end. Kalala started the final set with four straight kills, 4-0. Chestnut Hill College turned the good start into a 10-1 lead that endure Post University's late rally in a 25-22 (3-1) conclusion that came on a kill from senior right side

Junior outside hitter Madison Hunziker (Sacramento, Calif.) lead Post University with 10 kills and 15 digs. In support, Seger and sophomore outside hitter Shannon Veale (Toms River, N.J.) offered nine and eight kills, respectively. Junior setter Brianna Root (Bristol, Conn.) impressed on both sides of the net with 28 assists and 24 digs, which led four others in double digit digs.
Sutton's 34 assists helped Kalala with her 14 kill performance. She also recorded 6 kills and nine digs. Sophomore defensive specialist
Kara Turtzer (La Habra Heights, Calif.) (11), Byxbee (15), and Green (15) joined Reno in double digit dig efforts. Sophomore middle hitter
