Behind CACC leading scorer junior guard Kristen Drogsler (Middle Village, N.Y.) (21.0 points/game), #1N Caldwell University defeated nearly every CACC opponent in their path as a 57-49 loss to Bloomfield College on January 26 was their only downfall in a 18-1 league record. The Cougars will host the defending CACC Champions, #4S Philadelphia University in a 2:00 p.m. contest.
USciences do not offer a player among the league's top-10 scorers, but provide a stingy defensive (51.4 points allowed/game) and a long-range offense (9.1-of-26.0 3PT attempts/game), .348) that produced a 16-3 CACC mark this season. They are led by the backcourt combination of junior Sarah Abbonizio (West Chester, Pa.) (12.6 PPG) and sophomore Alex Thomas (Hockessin, Del.) (16.5 PPG), who have combined to average 29.1 of the Devils' 61.6 points-per-game (PPG). The Devils will host #4N Concordia College (NY) in a 2:00 p.m. contest.
