Box Score Orangeburg, N.J. - (2/4/2017) – Chestnut Hill College's recent four-game winning streak came to a close this afternoon at Coach Baxter Court, where Dominican College claimed a 78-67 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win over the Griffins. With the contest even at halftime, 30-30, the Lady Chargers used a 27-20 third-quarter spread to separate for the eventual victory. Freshman forward
Shannon Glenn (Philadelphia, Pa.) offered the game of her young collegiate career as the Griffins' leading force; she scored a team-high 26 points that included five, three point baskets (5-of-8, .625) and additionally collected five rebounds and provided an assist.
The first period of the affair was highly competitive with Dominican College (9-15, 9-6) taking the largest lead of the frame, 17-12, at quarter's close. Chestnut Hill College (13-8, 8-6) made sure that the Chargers stayed close by for a majority of the second quarter, eventually tying the contest, 27-27, just two minutes (1:55) before halftime on a free throw from sophomore guard
Mary Trossi (Somerset, N.J.), and keeping the spread even, 30-30 (0:00) for intermission thanks to a pair of successful free throws from sophomore forward

After the break, Dominican College returned to the cat-bird seat, pacing Chestnut Hill College to a 57-46 separation in the closing minute (0:51) of the third quarter. Fortunately, the hustle and heart of
Vicky Tumasz (North Wales, Pa.) helped narrow the gap to seven points, 57-50, before quarter's close as the Griffins' junior guard converted two of three free throws and gathered a rebound before a Trossi layup concluded the frame. Unfortunately, the Scarlet and Gold's rally withered early in the fourth quarter as the Lady Chargers edged their advantage back to 12 points, 62-50, at 7:43 and latter to as many as 16 points, 68-52 (6:12), prior to Chestnut Hill College's final attempt at a rebuttal.
Dominican College placed five players in double figures; the highest among them was junior guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.), who totaled 17 points in excess of three rebounds, eight assists, a block, and three steals. Senior forward Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) and freshman guard Kayla Ramseur (Bloomfield, N.J.) were the other two Lady Charger starters to finish in double figures.
The former recorded 14 points, four rebounds, two assists, a block, and two steals while the latter finished the affair with 11 points, one rebound, three assists, and a steal. Off the bench, freshman forward Jasmine Gee (Englewood, N.J.) and senior guard Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) also provided double digit performances. Gee scored 15 points while McGill totaled 12.
Glenn's impressive performance included career-highs in field goals (9-of-17, .529) and three point (5-of-8, .625) baskets. In support, Tumasz offered 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Wildgoose missed her sixth double-double by a mere rebound as she finished the contest with nine points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and five steals.
The Chestnut Hill College women's basketball team competes next at Georgian Court University on Tuesday, February 7, when they tipoff versus the Lions in a 6:00 p.m. CACC fray.
