Box Score | Philadelphia, Pa. - (3/25/2017) – For the second day in a row, Chestnut Hill College hosted a nationally ranked opponent as the Scarlet and Gold welcomed #35 Indiana University (PA) (IUP) to campus for this afternoon's competition. The Crimson Hawks were the victors, 9-0, only surrendering points to the Griffins in the number one doubles and number one singles flights. Senior
Laure-Anne Josso (Vannes, France) was a participant in both of those matches; she fought alongside senior
Louise Charley (St. Jean de Luz, France) to an 8-4 defeat in doubles and played courageously in a 6-1, 3-6, 10-8, final in the top individual match.
The doubles matches concluded in reverse order as IUP (7-4) won the number three and number two flight by 8-0 finals. Josso and Charley lasted a little longer, holding the Bears off to an 8-4 conclusion. In singles play, Chestnut Hill College (0-11) suffered five straight 6-0, 6-0, losses before Josso delayed senior Jarka Petercakova (Bratislava, Slovakia) to her three-set win at number one.
The Chestnut Hill College women's tennis team joins the men for a trip to the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) on Tuesday, March 28. Opening serve for both matches are schedule for 1:00 p.m.
