The meeting severed in a split as the Wildcats won the women's match 7-0 and the Griffins won the men's match 4-3. Finishing in reverse order, Villanova University (6-15) won all three women's doubles by 8-0 finals. They continued their sweep of Chestnut Hill College (0-16) with consecutive singles wins at number three (6-1, 6-0), number four (6-0, 6-0), number one (6-3, 6-3), number two (7-6, 6-1), number five (6-0, 6-0), and number six (6-0, 6-1) singles.
The men's match had a much different feel as a 6-2 number three doubles from Sophomore

Pedro Oranges de Figueredo (Sao Paulo, Brazil) got Chestnut Hill College (12-5) out a good start. Unfortunately, Villanova University (10-9) scored respective wins at number one (6-3) and number two (6-3) to secured the team round, 1-0. A 6-3, 7-6 (7-2), win from junior
Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) evened the score, 1-1, but the Wildcats were quickly back on top with a 6-0, 6-1, win at number three singles, 2-1. Sophomore
Pierre Kohler (Les Sables d'Olonne, France) continued the back-and-forth with his 6-2, 6-4, triumph at number one singles tying the contest at 2-2. Sophomore
Felix Andre (Berlin, Germany) then pushed it to 3-2 Chestnut Hill College with his 6-4, 6-1, number two singles win, only for a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2, Villanova University win at number five singles to even the contest once again, 3-3. After an opening 6-4 loss, Ducretot made sure the Griffins current win streak extended to seven matches with succeeding 6-3, 6-2, wins.
The Chestnut Hill College women's tennis team finishes the 2016-2017 season at 0-16 overall. Meanwhile, the men finish their regular and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season schedules on Tuesday, April 18, when they visit the University of the Sciences (USciences) for a 3:00 p.m. match.
