Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) triggered a four-goal, mid-first half run that propelled #4 Chestnut Hill College to a 6-3 halftime advantage and an eventual 12-6 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Quarterfinal victory over #5 Caldwell University. With the win the Griffins advance to the CACC Semifinals, which are scheduled for a Saturday, April 29, at Georgian Court University. Chestnut Hill College will compete in the first semifinal contest of the afternoon; a 12:00 p.m. contest against host #1 Georgian Court University.
Caldwell University (7-9, 5-4) initiated the scoring at Victory Field #1, but Chestnut Hill College (7-10, 6-3) promptly defended their home turf. Reinert's first goal – assisted by senior attack

Jacklyn O'Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.) at 10:38 gave the Griffins the lead, 3-2. And a free position goal from senior
Lea Sanders (North Merrick, N.Y.) made it 4-2. The Cougars narrowed the margin at 7:34 (4-3), but junior attack
Julia Galantich (Clinton Corners, N.Y.) closed out the period with a pair of pin-point passes to Reinert (5-3 at 5:56) and junior midfielder
Erica McLaughlin (Magnolia, N.J.) (6-3 at 3:32) that left the halftime spread at 6-3, Griffins.
After intermission, the Cougars had the first step once more as sophomore midfielder Rachel Lucia (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) scored twice in the 21
st minute (21:44 and 21:30) to cut the margin to just one goal, 6-5. But Reinert appeared again at 20:32 (7-5) and once more at the 11-minute mark (8-6 at 11:00) to ignite Chestnut Hill College for an eventual 12-6 victory. Galantich and McLaughlin both scored their second goals of the contest in the closing run, Reinert added her fifth, and senior midfielder

Lucia was the Cougars' top performer with three goals, three ground balls, five draws, and two caused turnovers. In goal, sophomore Elizabeth Ruedemann (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) (6-8) made 14 saves while recovering three ground balls and causing a turnover.
Reinert added a ground ball and four draws to her six-point (5 goals and 1 assist) performance; it was her fifth game of five points or more and her second in a row. Galantich also finished with five points – the fourth time for her and also the second time in a row – with three assists in addition to her two tallies. She also grabbed four ground balls.
