Box Score 2 Philadelphia, Pa. – (4/29/2017) – Bringing the 2017 regular season to a close, Chestnut Hill College hosted Felician University for a pair of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games and annual Senior Day festivities. Alex Sauer (New Milford, N.J.) went 2-for-3 in the opener, but Chestnut Hill College scored three runs in the fifth inning on a grounder to second from junior designated player
Jessica Pulis (Baldwin, N.Y.) and a single through the left side from sophomore right fielder
Ariel Magee (North Cape May, N.J.). Magee had two hits (2-for-4) in game two, but Pulis and senior centerfielder
Ashley Sharp (Dresher, Pa.) respectively knocked in the Griffins' runs with a third inning single through the right side and a fifth inning single to center field.
Felician University (22-25, 13-13) scored first with a leadoff home run in the second inning, 1-0. The Golden Falcons added two runs in the third inning, 3-0, before Chestnut Hill College (14-28, 12-14) tied it with a three-run fifth inning. Sharp led off the at-bat with a single to right center. She reached third base with a Sauer single to short and a throwing error. Pulis then grounded to second base to score the first Griffin run, 3-1. A walk to senior first baseman
Jenna Long (North Wildwood, N.J.) and Magee's single scored the second, 3-2. The third was freshman pinch runner
Cailey Stevenson (Burbank, Calif.), who hustled home on an error by the Golden Falcon shortstop, 3-3. The contest reached the eighth inning before reaching a conclusion. Regrettably, the visitors had the last say with a pair of deciding runs, 5-3.
The Golden Falcons homered with one out in the first inning of game two, 1-0. Chestnut Hill College even it out in the third inning with a one-out single up the middle from senior shortstop senior shortstop
Corie Apodaca (Ontario, Calif.), a two-out single down the left field line from sophomore catcher
Brielle Riotte (Elizabeth, N.J.), and a Pulis grounder through the right side, 1-1. The Griffins took a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning, where a lead-off single from sophomore third baseman
Lily Winn (Los Angeles, Calif.), a one-out wild pitch, and a two-out single to centerfield from Sharp, 2-1. Unfortunately, things went south in the sixth inning as Felician University leaped-frogged the Griffins for a 4-2 edge.

Briannen Holloway (Corona, Calif.), Apodaca, Long, and Sharp. Chestnut Hill College awaits the conclusion of the league schedule for a chance a post season berth. They finish the 2017 regular season at 14-28 overall and 12-14 in CACC play.
