Samantha Herron (three goals, seven assists) proved enough, as the Chestnut Hill College women's lacrosse team topped Post University, 25-5, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this afternoon.

Katie Joe Lang (Manassas, Va.), Chestnut Hill College (5-7, 5-1 CACC) wasted no time to secure a lead, scoring the first eight goals of the game to open and 8-0 lead.
Post University (1-8, 1-5 CACC) would respond with goals from junior midfielder Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) and freshman attack Leona Stevens (Kingston, Mass.) to make the score 8-2 with 13:59 remaining in the first half. The Scarlet and Gold answered, scoring seven of the final eight goals in the stanza to enter the halftime break with a commanding 15-3 edge.
The Griffins extended their advantage in the second half, with an O'Leary tally off a feed from sophomore midfielder
Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) capping a 7-1 run over the opening 17:07, ballooning the host's lead to 18, 22-4. With time ticking down, the Griffins secured three more goals from a trio of scorers, including Leckonby's eighth of the game and 20
th of the season to give the game its 25-5 final
Deren paced the Eagles with one goal and two assists, while sophomore midfielder Aolani Hermosura (Stamford, Conn.) scored a pair of goals, collected three ground balls and secured two draw controls. Freshman goalkeeper Alana Lopez (Wolcott, Conn.) recorded seven saves in the defeat (1-8)
