Glen Allen, Va. – (11/4/2018) – Chestnut Hill College finished the Virginia Union University Invitational in 10^th place (8,179 total pins) with an 8-4 weekend record that improved their season standing to 14-8.
 
Chestnut Hill College (14-8) defeated Coppin State University in their first best-of-seven match in the three-game bracket by a 4-0 measure. Both senior Rebeccah Edelman (Oakford, Pa.) and sophomore Christina Del Vecchio (Warrington, Pa.) filled all eight frames in the set.

In the second match, Felician University defeated the Griffins 4-2. Senior Kara Wireman (Telford, Pa.) filled 10-of-12 frames, but it was not enough to overcome the Golden Falcons on the low-scoring lanes.

In the third match, Coppin State University got revenge as they edged out the Griffins in the seventh game the match. Chestnut Hill College forced a seventh set after being down 3-1, unfortunately, the Eagles pulled out the win by 4-3 spread. Junior Stephanie Brogna (Morganville, N.J.) led the team by filling 10-of-14 frames.

The Griffins compete next on November 30, when they travel to the Bowlerama in New Castle, Delaware, for Wilmington University's Wildcat Division II/Division III Invitational.
