Box Score Monsey, N.Y. - (10/12/2019) – Chestnut Hill College got back in the win column today, Saturday, October 12, with a decisive 7-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory at Dominican College. The Griffins posted wins in the first (6-2) and second (6-1) team flights to secure the doubles point. A sweep of the following individual round ensured the Scarlet and Gold the league prize.
 
Seniors, Barbara Broville (Toulouse, France) and Mia Covic (Novi Sad, Serbia) won number one doubles by a 6-2 measure. Chestnut Hill College (5-5, 4-3) procured the doubles point with their next victory; a 6-1 number two doubles win by freshman Carlota Garcia Arguelles (Madrid, Spain) and senior Nicole Yang (Blue Bell, Pa.). The Scarlet and Gold built off their doubles success with six straight singles wins. Covic won number one singles, 6-4, 6-0. Broville took the second flight, 1-6, 6-1, 6-0. Garcia Arguelles and yang respectively won at number three and number four singles with matching 6-4, 6-2, scores. Sophomore Gianna Vassalluzzo (Newtown, Pa.) endured for a 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) win at number five singles and junior Mariana Sanchez (Trenton, N.J.) triumphed at number six singles, 6-3, 6-1.   
 
Chestnut Hill College continues their CACC schedule on Tuesday, October 15, when they host Goldey-Beacom College for a 2:30 p.m. match.
