Stratford, N.J. - (3/8/2019) – Representing Chestnut Hill College, five Griffins traveled to 30 Strikes in Stratford, New Jersey, to compete in this evening's 2019 United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Intercollegiate Singles Sectional Qualifier. Sophomore
Kristina Scimone (Gibbsboro, N.J.) rolled the Griffins' high-game of the tournament with a 245 in her third game. But her classmate,
Christina Del Vecchio (Warrington, Pa.) was the Scarlet and Gold's top finisher, placing 76
th in a field of 159 bowlers with her six-game total of 1,059.
Del Vecchio's high-game was a 191 that came in her fifth game; it was the second lowest high-game from a Griffin, but with a low of 163 in her first end she offered the most consistency in the Chestnut Hill College lineup. Senior
Rebeccah Edelman (Oakford, Pa.) was the Griffins' second best finisher, ranking 93
rd with a total score of 1,028. Her high-game of 195 came in her final game. Scimone's 245 accounted for 25.4% of her six-game total as she ranked 116
th with her 999 pins. Sophomore
Lauren Klein (Horsham, Pa.) finished 126
th (982 total pins, 210 high-game) and junior
Stephanie Brogna (Morganville, N.J.) finished 139
th (948, 184).
