Sydney Watts recorded a top ten finish, leading the Chestnut Hill College Women's Cross Country team to a fifth place team finish at Saturday's Jack St. Clair memorial Invitational at Belmont plateau in Philadelphia.  

The Griffins scored 141 points to place fifth among the 16 scoring teams, seven points behind fourth place Holy Family University.  West Chester University won the meet with 36 points.

Watts completed the 6,000-meter course in 25:32.4 to place eighth overall (fifth among collegiate competitors).   Gabby Hassler finished in the top 20, placing 17th among the 93 finishers with a time of 26:27.2. 

Aubrey Elias was the third Griffin to cross the line, finishing with a time of 29:35.7 to place 44^th overall.  Rounding out the Griffins finishers were Lilly Short and Taylor Kirby.  Short finished with a time of 31:00.5 while Kirby crossed the finish line in 32:13.9.

The CACC Championship Meet is up next for the Chestnut Hill College Women's Cross Country team.  The meet is on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
