Cutting Named CACC Men's Tennis Player of the Month

Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis player Noah Cutting has been named the Central Atlantic collegiate conference Men's Tennis Player of the Month for September.

Cutting is the first men's tennis player to earn CACC Men's Tennis Player of the month honors since current doubles partner Tom Pitchley was named back in October 2018.

In two dual matches last month, Cutting lost just two singles games at the #1 singles position, earning a 6-2, 6-0 win at Kutztown and a double-bagel 6-0, 6-0 victory at Bloomsburg.  He also was perfect in doubles play, winning 6-2 at Kutztown with Tiago Lima as a partner and 7-6 at Bloomsburg with Pitchley as his partner.

Cutting concluded the month with a solid performance at the ITA East Region Championship Tournament in flushing, New York, advancing to the round of 16 in both singles and doubles.  Cutting went 2-1 in singles and 1-1 in doubles play partnering with Pitchley before bowing out of the tournament, losing to seeded players in both instances.

For the month Cutting produced a 4-1 record in singles and a 3-1 record in doubles with the only losses coming at the ITA Tournament.

The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis team returns to action on October 11, 2022 when they travel to face Jefferson University.  The Griffins and the Rams faced off in last year's CACC Championship match with the Rams coming out on top 4-2.  First serve for the match on the 11th is set for 3:00 p.m.
