The United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their NCAA Division II All-Academic Individual and Team honors on Wednesday with the Chestnut Hill College Women's Track and Field Team designated as an All-Academic Team for the 2021-22 Track and Field season.
In order to earn All-Academic status, the cumulative GPA (not 2021-22 academic year, not semester) for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAAÂ
Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
The women's track team was one of 149 Division II programs to earn All-Academic status and one of just four institutions from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference to earn All-Academic Team status. As a team, the Griffins posted a 3.112 cumulate team grade point average.
This year's honor marks just the second time in program history that the women's track and field team has earn USTFCCCA all-Academic Team accolades, having earned the award following the 2017-18 season.
The women's track and field team is now the fifth Chestnut Hill team to earn all-Academic Team status from their respective sports association for the 2021-22 academic year, joining the Men's Lacrosse Team (USILA) Men's and Women's Tennis teams (ITA) and the Women's Bowling team (NTCA).
