Eric Gibson are pleased to announce their 2022-2023 Women's Tennis Schedule.
The Griffins' 16-game fall schedule includes ten Central Atlantic collegiate Conference games as the CACC has switched to home-and-home format for conference play with the departure of University of the Sciences leaving just six teams in the league. The schedule also includes six non-conference games in the fall, including five against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Institutions.
"This year's women's tennis team schedule features a strong blend of very talented programs," said Gibson. "The goal is to compete against the best programs possible to strengthen our own team for the upcoming CACC tournament and beyond.  Our schedule features many nationally-ranked Division II tennis programs this fall and several Division I programs as well in the spring portion of our season."

Chestnut Hill travels to Jefferson University to open their season on September 3, kicking off conference play right away. The Rams were ninth in the east region in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association   rankings.
Five of the Griffins next six games are non-conference contests with Chestnut Hill playing at Kutztown University (9/10); Bloomsburg University (9/12); Shippensburg University (9/20) and Saint Thomas Aquinas College (9/22). STAC was ranked third in the region and 50
th nationally in the final ITA polls last season. Chestnut Hill will also host Shippensburg on September 17 (12:00 PM start).
The Griffins will face Goldey-Beacom College in their home opener and second conference game of the season on September 13 with a 2:30 p.m. start time. The team will then travel to Dominican University in Orangeburg, New York for their third conference match on September 24 before returning back to Pennsylvania for their final non-conference contest at Millersville university on September 26. Millersville finished eighth in the final ITA Atlantic Region rankings.
Conference play continues for the rest of the regular season as the Griffins return home to host Post University on September 28; Wilmington University on October 4; Dominican on October 8 and Jefferson for their final match of the fall regular season on October 18. Dominican will be a noon start while the other three matches will all start at 2:00 p.m.
Chestnut Hill will also travel to face Goldey-Beacom (10/6); Post (10/12); and Wilmington (10/15) to round out the home and home series with their conference foes.
The top four teams will qualify for the
CACC Championship Tournament which will be co-hosted by Wilmington and Goldey-Beacom at the Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington on October 21 and 22. The semi final matches will be played on October 21 with the winners meeting for the conference championship the next day. The CACC Champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA East Region Championships in May of 2023.
The spring portion of the season will feature home contests against division I Loyola University (md) (2/25/2023); Bloomsburg (3/4) and Kutztown (4/2). The Griffins will travel to nationally ranked Division II University of the District of Columbia (3/11); Division I Delaware State (3/21) and West Chester University (4/19). The season will culminate at the
NCAA East Region Championship beginning on May 8. Up to eight East region programs will by vying for a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
