A trio of Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis players have been recognized by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for their performance during the fall as the conference office announced their all-conference team and major award winners Tuesday morning.
Named to the CACC all-conference Team as second team honorees were senior
Alison Isaac and junior
Romi Meirovich. In addition, freshman
Elena Arenas Guisasola was voted the CACC co-Rookie of the Year. Voting for the CACC all-conference teams is done by the league's six coaches.
Isaac (Auburn, Calif.) earns her second consecutive nod as an all-conference honoree while
Meirovich (Herzeliya, Israel) is a first-time honoree.
In becoming the Griffins' first-ever CACC Women's Tennis Rookie of the Year Award winner, Â
Arenas Guisasola (Madrid, Spain) compiled an impressive 8-3 singles mark and 5-3 doubles record in her first collegiate season. Her record includes a 5-3 conference mark for singles and a 5-2 CACC record in doubles.
Isaac has compiled an 9-4 overall singles record with a 6-2 mark in conference matches. Half of her eight dual match wins came against fellow honorees on the 2023 all-conference team (two first team honorees and two second team honorees). She has also produced a 9-3 dual match record in doubles play, including a 6-2 conference mark. Isaac is 6-1 when playing in the #1 singles position.
Meirovich leads the Griffins with ten singles wins this season which also includes an impressive 7-2 record in conference matches. She is also 5-0 at the #5 singles position this season. In doubles play, Meirovich has a 7-7 record with four of those wins coming from the #1 doubles position.
The Chestnut Hill College Women's tennis team will #2 seed Jefferson University when the CACC Tournament Championship opens at Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, Delaware on Friday, October 20, 2023. First serve is at 1:00 p.m.
