Members of the Chestnut Hill college Men's Track and field team produced six personal best marks and added three Central Atlantic collegiate conference qualifying performances as the team competed at the Towson University Invitational at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Maryland on Saturday.

Christopher Nelson led the way, turning a personal-best mark and qualifying for the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:43.35.  Nelson finished fourth overall in the race.  His time is also the third fastest 5,000-meter time run by a CACC runner so far this season.  Nelson also ran a personal best time of 2:05.73 in the 8,00-meter run.

Jason Fisher also had personal best times in two events, narrowly missing the CACC qualifying mark of 16:45.00 in the 5,000 meter race with a time of 16:45.20, placing 18th overall.  Fisher also recorded a personal best time of 4:25.65 in the 1,500-meter race.

In addition to Nelson's qualifying performance in the 5,000-meters, Tyrease Harris, competing in his first 400-meter hurdles race, qualified for the conference championships with a time of 1:01.85, placing 14th overall in the event.  In the shot put competition, Jason Chedester earned his second qualifying mark for the conference meet, with a toss of 11.56 meters (37' 11¼") in the shot put, placing 13th overall.  Chedester had qualified last week for the javelin throw.

Moye and Harris along with Tyheem Bailey and Pierson Dyson formed the Griffins' 4 x100 meter relay team.  The team finished seventh with a time of 44.07 seconds.
Dyson and Bailey finished 20th and 24th respectively in the long jump, with Dyson leaping 5.68 meters (18' 7¾") and Bailey jumping 5.47 meters (17' 11½")
