Alison Isaac had her stellar season rewarded Thursday morning when she was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year as announced by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.

Isaac becomes the first Chestnut Hill College women's tennis player in program history to earn the conference CACC Player of the Year honors and joins two teammates on the CACC all-Conference Teams, earning First Team honors.

Senior Romi Meirovich and sophomore Lilian Bandel join Issac on the all-conference teams as second team honorees. Isaac is now a three-time honoree while Meirovich earns all-CACC accolades for the second consecutive year.  Bandel is a first time honoree.

Isaac turned in a stellar fall season, going undefeated in conference matches with an 8-0 record at #1 singles and a 9-0 mark at #1 double, the majority of which she was partnered with Bandel.  The fifth year senior player has won ten straight singles matches with her last loss coming in the quarterfinals of the ITA East Region Championship Tournament.  At 14-2 overall , Alison's only dual match singles loss came against division I Mount St. Mary's in the opening match of the season back on September 6.

Equally impressive is Isaac's overall doubles record.  Sporting a 14-2 mark, Isaac's only losses came at the ITA Tournament and in a non-conference dual against West Chester University.

In earning her second consecutive second team All-CACC accolade, Meirovich turned in a solid conference doubles record, going 7-2 in matches this season, mostly at the #2 slot. Meirovich earned two doubles wins against Jefferson University this season and also one against Wilmington University and Goldey-Beacom College.   Overall, Meirovich is 11-5 in doubles this season.  In singles Meirovich is 8-7 overall and earlier this season had a five match winning streak.

Bandel is also undefeated this season in conference double matches at 9-0, partnering mostly with Isaac.  The sophomore athlete has also turned in a solid 7-2 mark in conference singles action primarily at #2 or #3 singles. She recorded two singles wins over Goldey-Beacom along with singles wins against Jefferson and Wilmington this season.  Overall, Bandel has a   13-3 doubles record and a 9-6 singles mark.

The awards will be presented at the annual conference tennis banquet on Friday.  The conference championship tournament begins on Saturday with the Griffin splaying in the second semi-final match against #2 seed Goldey-Beacom College at the Del Castle Tennis Center in Wilmington, Delaware.  First serve for the Griffins' match is set for 1:00 p.m.
