Four members of the Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team have been named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer All-Academic Team in an announcement made by the conference office on Monday.
In order to be eligible for the CACC All-Academic Teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and must have achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher through the preceding semester.
Earning CACC All-Academic Team honors for the second time is senior Jaime Arrola. First time honorees include seniors Gabriel Matute and Connor McGrogan along with sophomore Jose Ricardo Cuadra.
Arrola  is a Business Administration and Management major with a minor in Finance. He is a two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honoree as well as a two-time D2 Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award Winner. He was inducted into Chi alpha sigma, the national student athlete honor society in the spring of 2024 and has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll accolades in  every semester at Chestnut Hill.
Matute  is also a Business Administration an management major and also 2024 CSC Academic all-District honoree. Transferring into Chestnut Hill in the fall of 2023, Matute has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll accolades in every semester since arriving on campus.
A computer Information Science major, Cuadra was an Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar recipient for men's soccer last spring and joined Arrola and Matute as CSC Academic All-district honorees this fall. He has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll accolades in every semester while at Chestnut Hill.
McGrogan, a law and legal studies major, was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma in the spring of 2024 and was a 2023-24 D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner. He has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll accolades in every semester while at Chestnut Hill after transferring to the school in the fall of 2022. McGrogan is also a member of the Chestnut Hill College men's golf team.
Since joining the CACC for the 2007-08 season, 33 Griffin men's soccer players have been named to the CACC Men's Soccer Academic Honor Rolls a total of 52 times. Five players have earned CACC all Academic team honors three times while 12, including Arrola have earned the honor twice.
