Emanuel Preston broke another school record and came close to a third as the Chestnut Hill college men's Track and Field team competed in their final indoor meet of 2024, the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.

In addition to Preston's record, the Griffins recorded two personal-best times and had five top 20 finishes on the day.

Preston won his heat in the 200 meter dash race with a school record time of 23.04 seconds, .01 second better than the previous mark held by Emmauel Egbosimbah set back in 2015.   Preston also won his heat in the 60-meter dash, finishing with a time of 7.14 seconds, just .07 off Egbosimbah's record of 7.07 set back in 2014.  Preston finished second overall in the event.

Bryce Hunter recorded the Griffins' remaining personal best time, also in the 60-meter dash event. He placed third in his heat, with a personal best time of 7.34 seconds and placed 11^th overall.  Donald Bonham ran 7.63 in the event and placed 20^th overall.

Cole Stanchina raced to a 12^th place finish in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 8:53.23.   Elijah Williams finished 17^th overall in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 10.48 seconds.

Jason Chedester finished 21^st in the shot put with a toss of 10.32 meters (33' 10¼").

Braden Berkey made his Chestnut Hill College debut at Friday's meet, competing in the 3,000 meter race.  Tyheem Bailey rounded out the CHC competitors, competing in the 60 meter and 200-meter events.

The men's track and field team will begin the outdoor portion of their season on March 29, 2024, when they compete at the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener University.
