Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball player Sadie Bayko has been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Women's Volleyball Division II Academic All-District® Team in an announcement on Tuesday by the CSC Academic all-America® Committee.
Bayko recently completed her first season as a Griffin as competing the last two seasons at Allegheny College of Maryland. She becomes the fifth Chestnut Hill women's volleyball player in program history to earn Academic All-District® honors.
To be eligible for Academic All-District® accolades, student-athletes must be at least at sophomore athletically and academically, appear in 90 percent of their team's contests or start in 66% and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. Graduate students must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA in both their undergraduate and graduate programs.
Bayko appeared in 24 of the Griffins 27 matches, starting in 19. The senior hitter/defensive specialist was one of five players on the team to record 100 or more kills on the season finishing with 108, including a season best 13 against Queens College. In addition she was the only player on this year's squad to finish the season with 100 or more kills, 25 or more aces (26), 75 or more digs (90) and 25 or more blocks (27).
Joining the Chestnut Hill volleyball program for the 2024 spring semester, Bayko was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Academic Honor Roll, earning President's Level accolades with a grade point average of over 3.50 for the semester. She also was named to the CHC Athletic Academic Honor Roll.
Academic All-District® honorees are reviewed by a group of Academic All-America® committee members for consideration for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® national ballot. Academic All-America® honorees are chosen by the CSC Division II membership and the Academic All-America® core committee.
The 2025 Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® Volleyball Teams, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
