Dougherty Named to the CACC Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team

Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball player Katelyn Dougherty has been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball All-Academic team in an announcement by the conference office on Thursday.

Dougherty is one of just 36 players across all 11 conference school to be recognized as an All-Academic Team honoree this season.

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also either compete in at least two-thirds of his/her team's matches or start at least half.

Dougherty appeared in 20 of the Griffins' 27 matches this season.   The sophomore libero/defensive specialist will also earn her third consecutive CACC Academic Honor Roll (based on semester g.p.a.) when the conference announces their honorees. Dougherty has also earned the Chestnut Hill Athletic Academic Honor Roll status in each of her first three semesters as well as earning Dean's List honors twice.  She was also inducted in Alpha Lambda Delta, the freshman honor society in spring of 2025.  

Since joining the CACC for the 2007-08 season, 24 Griffin Women's Volleyball players have been named to the CACC Women's Volleyball Academic Honor Rolls a total of 55 times. Fourteen Griffin volleyball players have earned  CACC All-Academic team three times while three additional players have earned CACC All-Academic Volleyball accolades twice.
