Three runners recorded personal best times and another qualified for the conference championship meet in May as the Chestnut Hill College Men's Track and Field team competed at the Danny Curran Invitational in Chester, Pennsylvania.
The meet was hosted by Widener University.
Friday night saw two Griffins competing in the 5,000 meter run. Braden Berkey was the Griffins top finisher with a time of 16:51.27 while Ryan O'Hara ran a personal best time of 17:21.67.
Saturday saw freshman Elijah Bey qualify for the Central Atlantic Collegiate conference championship meet in the high jump as he cleared the bar at 6'0" (1.83 m.) to finish in 12th place overall.
O'Hara went on to record his second personal-best time as the Griffins' top finisher in the 1,500 meter run on Saturday, finishing with a time of 4:40.30. Rudy Del Prete also had a personal best time in the 1,500 finishing in 5:32.75. Cidi Yillah, in his first collegiate meet, finished with a time of 7:20.33.
The men's track and field team returns to action next weekend when they compete at the Ursinus Track and Field Festival in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
