Two personal-best marks and three top-25 finishes were recorded by the six members of the Chestnut Hill College Men's Track and field team who qualified to compete at the Ursinus college Track and field Festival on Saturday in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
Ryan O'Hara recorded the first personal-best mark  with a time of 11:21.03 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, placing seventh overall. Elijah Bey improved upon his collegiate debut effort in last week's high jump competition clearing the bar at 1.84 meters (6'¼"). Bey placed fifth overall in the competition.
Michael Lopez-Zabala, the Griffins' other field event competitor, recorded a 21st place finish in the javelin throw with a toss of 39.68 meters (130'2").
Chestnut Hill's remaining competitors competed in the mid-distance events. Cidi Yillah made his collegiate debut at 800 meters with a time of 3:18.53. In the 1,500 meter race, Braden Berkey completed the run in 4:49.53 while Rudolph Del Prete finished in 5:36.46.
The men's track and field team returns to action on April 19 at the Millersville Metric Meet.
