Post season awards continue to be earned by Chestnut Hill College senior baseball player Colby Seelig.  Seelig, a first team all-conference relief pitcher, has been named to two all-region teams in the last 72 hours, earning National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and Division Two Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-East region accolades.

Seelig was named a first-team honoree by the NCBWA Friday afternoon and garnered second team D2CCA all-region accolades earlier today.  As a first team honoree from the NCBWA, Seelig will be placed on the organization's national ballot which will be voted on in the upcoming week.

The senior reliever turned in a solid season for the Griffins in 2025, leading the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in saves with eight which also tied him for the most in the east region this season. His 3.12 earned run average is the best among all east region relievers and seventh among all pitchers (starters and relievers) in the region.

Seelig held batters to a .222 average this season, the best among CACC relievers and ranked third in the CACC with a 1.23 WHIP and fourth with a 3.75 strikeout-to-walk ratio.  Recording 53 strikeouts on the season, Seelig ranked third on the team.  His five wins ranked second on the team.

In his eight saves and five wins (13 appearances), Seelig recorded an earned run average of 1.36 in 33 innings pitched.

The NCBWA and D2CCA all-region teams represent two of the three major all-region teams that are chosen each year.  The ABCA (American Baseball Coaches Association) will be announced towards the end of the month.
