Spinks Named to the 2026 Phiily-SIDA Academic All-Area Team

Chestnut Hill College Baseball player Wyatt Spinks  has been named to the 2026 Philly-SIDA Baseball Academic All-Area team.  spinks is one of 10 athletes from eight different schools who were named to this year's Philly-SIDA Baseball Academic All Area team. The Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area teams are voted on by the sports communications offices of the institutions from the Philadelphia area.

Spinks becomes the sixth player in the history of the program to be named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Baseball team. 

Now in its 21st  season, The Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area program honors student-athletes in the Philadelphia metropolitan area who excel academically and athletically. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be in at least their second year at their institution academically and athletically and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher.

A dual major in Early education and special education, Spinks was recently named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Baseball team and was one of the players selected to advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America® consideration.  He is a two-time  Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team honoree (2025, 2026)  and D2 Athletic Director's Association Academic Achievement Award winner in 2025.  He was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society last month.  He has been named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll in each of the past five semesters.

Spinks earned first team all-conference honors this past season, leading the team with a .393 average while recording  53 hits.  He also led the team with a .506 on base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage, the third highest in program history.   

Spinks is joined on the team by Sam Cohen and Nile Prusak of Haverford College, Dan Bass of Ursinus, Eastern's Thomas Lozlusky and Trent MacDougall, Rowan's Austin Kreyenhagen,  Max Oswald of Arcadia, Hunter Smith of West Chester,  and Aidan Sullivan of Swarthmore.  Cohen was named the 2026 Performer of the Year.
