In their final tune-up before the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Golf Championship the Chestnut Hill College Men's golf team took home third place at the Jefferson Rams Invitational Thursday at Jeffersonville golf Club.
The Griffins finished with a score of 310, 13 strokes behind second place Goldey-Beacom College (297) and 16 strokes behind the winning team, host Jefferson University (294). Their 310 score was the team's best score of the season.
Leading the way for the Griffins was Hugo Almeida. Almeida shot a one-over par 71 on the afternoon, two strokes behind medalist William Kelly of Goldey-Beacom College and finishing tied for third overall.
Rogelio Gerena finished four strokes behind Almeida with a score of 75, finishing in a tie for sixth place while Kiefer Sharman placed 13th with a score of 79.
Rounding out the Griffins' competitors were Devin Vieira with a score of 85, Trevor Dender who shot 86 and Jack Bulman who played as an independent and fired a score of 80.
The men's gold team returns to action on October 5, 2025, for the first round of the CACC Championship Tournament. This year's championship will be held at White Clay Creek Golf Club in Wilmington, Delaware and hosted by Goldey-Beacom College.
