Chestnut Hill College standouts Sara Tamoun and Tiayo Adelekan have been named to the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball All-Conference team, as announced by conference commissioner Dan Mara Wednesday afternoon.
Tamoun was named as a second team honoree while Adelekan earned third team accolades. Both players are first time honorees
The Griffins' leading scorer ranks ninth in the CACC averaging 14.6 points per game. Tamoun also ranks second in the league shooting 84.8% from the free throw line and third in the CACC in three-point field goal percentage at 37.1%. The senior guard averages 2.1 three-point baskets per game which is the second best mark in the league and 3.7 assists per game, ranking fifth in the league.
Tamoun has scored 417 points this season and has 106 assists becoming the first player in program history to score at least 400 points and dish out 100 or more assists in a single season
Adelekan sports the second best field goal percentage of any conference women's basketball player at 54.3% and also ranks 12th in the conference with a 6.9 rebounds per game average while leading the team in that category.
The sophomore power forward has recorded five double-doubles on the season. She scored a career-high 27 points against Goldey-Beacom in January and recorded double-doubles in both regular season games against Jefferson this year, including a season-high 16 rebounds in the team's first meeting in January.
The Griffins' began post-season play Tuesday night with a 71-64 win over Jefferson University ot advance to the CACC Semi-Finals for the third time in the past five seasons. Chestnut Hill will face top seed, Holy Family University on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The semi-finals and championship games are hosted by Caldwell University.
