Chestnut Hill College Men's Lacrosse player Daniel Myers has been named to the 2026 Philly-SIDA Men's Lacrosse Academic All-Area team. Myers is one of 12 athletes from eight different schools who were named to this year's Philly-SIDA Men's Lacrosse Academic All Area team. The Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area teams are voted on by the sports communications offices of the institutions from the Philadelphia area.
Myers becomes the tenth player in the history of the program to be named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Lacrosse team.
Now in its 21st season, The Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area program honors student-athletes in the Philadelphia metropolitan area who excel academically and athletically. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be in at least their second year at their institution academically and athletically and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher.
Myers, a senior, most recently was named to the USILA Division II All-North Region team as an honorable mention selection. He was a First Team All-CACC honoree for 2026, leading the team with 23 caused turnovers. The senior defender also recorded 31 ground balls. At the college's annual Griffin Awards show, Myers was selected as the Athletic Director's Award winner.
A business administration and management major, Myers recently was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team for 2025-26. He was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society in 2025 and is a soon-to-be three-time CACC All-Academic team honoree. He has also earned CACC Academic Honor Roll accolades in each of his past six semesters.
Myers is joined on the Academic All-Area team by Swarthmore College's Clay Almgren, who was chosen as this year's Performer of the year and two of Almgren's Swarthmore teammates, Jack McHenry and Drew Tyson. Arcadia (Dylan Garber and Gavin Lenart) and Saint Joseph's (Ben Dutton and Liam Quinn) both have two players on the team, which is rounded out by Matthew Ludlow (Immaculata), Luke Raymond (Villanova), Noah Simpson (Holy Family), and Ronan West (Haverford).
