New Haven, Conn. – (4/22/2013) – Senior midfielder Brianne Timony (Allentown, N.J.) totaled ten points in Chestnut Hill College’s 1-2 week, providing six goals and two assists in the a 16-3 win at Nyack College on Saturday, April 20, before offering two goals in a 16-13 loss at Shepherd University on Sunday, April 21. For her efforts, Timony earned her fourth mention on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly Honor Roll.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season continued for Chestnut Hill College (3-12, 3-7) on Wednesday, April 17, with a trip to Holy Family University. The Griffins endured a 20-4 defeat at the hands of the Tigers before completing their CACC schedule at Nyack College with their third win of the season. Timony scored early and her classmates, midfielder Erica Eaby (Lancaster, Pa.) and attack Christina Squillante (Kings Park, N.Y.) scored late to earn the Griffins a 16-3 victory over the Warriors first-year program. She totaled eight points in all with her six goals and two assists fueling the Griffins dominate performance. On Sunday, April 21, the Griffins looked to make it two-for-two on the weekend with a successful trip to Shepherd University. Unfortunately, The Rams ran out to an 11-5 first-half lead, before holding off the rallying efforts of Timony and freshman midfielder Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.), who helped the Griffins, cut the margin to 16-13 by the final horn.

Timony currently ranks fifth in the CACC for scoring with, a team-high, 41 goals. Adding six assists, she also leads the Griffins in points (47) and shots (113) while recording 19 ground balls, 34 draw controls, and 11 caused turnovers.

The women's lacrosse team plays next at the University of Bridgeport on Tuesday, April 23, when they travel to face the Purple Knights in a 3:00 p.m. contest.
