Philadelphia, Pa. - (9/18/2021) - Chestnut Hill College (0-2-3) scored their third consecutive tie with today's 1-1, double-overtime draw at Thomas Jefferson University (Jefferson) (1-1-1, 0-0-1). The Rams secured an early edge in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener with a successful header from sophomore midfielder Gabe Paz (Mays Landing, N.J.), 1-0 (5:56). But their advantage disappeared in the final stretch as freshman midfielder Ariel Barreto (East Windsor, N.J.) and freshman forward Aidan McShane (Philadelphia, Pa.) facilitated a game-tying goal from freshman midfielder Manny Weagba Jr. (Langhorne, Pa.), 1-1 (86:49). Weagba Jr. scored his first collegiate goal on his only shot, while junior forward Christian Torres (Parsippany, N.J.) led the Scarlet and Gold's shooting efforts with three strikes.
