New Haven, CT – (11/22/2010) – Sophomore forward Lindsay Alexander (Huntingdon Valley, PA) contributed in all facets of the game to help the Griffins to a 2-1 start for the season. She averaged 13.3 points-per-game (PPG), 7.7 rebounds-per-game (RPG), while also handing eight assists and making seven steals. For her efforts she was an honorable mention for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week award.
 
Alexander opened the year with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals in a record-setting win for Chestnut Hill College (2-1). The Griffins set a program mark with 90 points in a 50-point win (90-40) over Washington Adventist University on November 15. Alexander followed her season-opening, double-double with 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals in the win over the University of the District of Columbia on November 17. Against Bloomsburg University on November 20, she totaled nine points, four rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Alexander leads the Griffins in scoring, hitting 14-of-30 (46.7%) from the field and 10-of-17 (58.8%) at the free throw line so far this season.
 
The women’s basketball team returns home to host C.W. Post University in a 3:00 p.m. contest on Wednesday, November 24.
