Hillburn, NY – (3/27/2010) – With 19 seconds remaining in this evening's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest; sophomore midfielder Aubree Williams (Great Meadows, NJ) scored for Dominican College to steal a 13-12 win over Chestnut Hill College. Senior midfielder Carley Glass (Swedesboro, NJ) totaled five goals in the contest including her 100th career tally. She is the third Griffin to record the feat in the last two seasons.

Dominican College (1-5, 1-4) took a 2-0 lead 5:18 into the contest, but Glass located sophomore attack Kelly McKay (Perkasie, PA) and freshman attack Nicole Covella (Vineland, NJ) for goals to help Chestnut Hill College (1-3, 0-2) score four of the next five goals to grab a 4-3 advantage. The Chargers tied the game with 16:23 remaining in the half, but two goals from Glass put the Griffins back ahead 6-4 with 10:14 left in the period. Her second score made her the fourth Griffin to cross the 100 career-goal threshold. The celebration was short lived, however, as the Lady Chargers knotted the contest 8-8 by halftime. Neither team led by more than a goal in the second half, but with 19 seconds to play freshman midfielder Elizabeth Schmidt (Montgomery, NY) located Williams for the game-winning goal.

Williams was the hero for the Lady Chargers, but junior midfielder Silje Karlsen (Vernon, NJ) led Dominican College with four goals. Williams and junior attack Amanda Matos (Vernon, NJ) provided three goals apiece, while senior goalie Lindsey Grundfast (Saugerties, NY) made 12 saves in the win.

Glass totaled seven points on her historic day. She added two assists to her five scores while also collecting three ground balls, two draws, and two caused turnovers. Her sister, senior attack Maryanne Glass (Swedesboro, NJ) contributed three goals, two ground balls, four draws, and two caused turnovers in the loss. Junior midfielder Jillian Sanger (Bowmansville, PA) supplied four ground balls, three draws, and two caused turnovers while freshman midfielder Maya Fairweather (Bowie, MD) scored her first collegiate goal. Junior goalkeeper Cherise Bell (Elkins Park, PA) took the loss (1-3) and made 14 saves.

The women's lacrosse team will continue their CACC schedule with a 4:00 p.m. game at Holy Family University on Monday, March 29.
