The Griffins used a team effort inside to overcome a cumbersome 23-point, 20-rebound performance from the Clippers junior forward, Argelix Gil (Brooklyn, NY), but it was a 14-point second half from junior guard
Mark DiRugeris Jr. (Woodbury, NJ) that sealed the victory for Chestnut Hill College.
Concordia College (6-8, 3-3) opened with a 19-9 lead in the opening seven minutes of the first half (13:11), thanks to the offense of freshman guard Jason Allyene (Bronx, NY) and Gil's work on the glass. Allyene totaled 14 points in the period and Gil corralled 18 rebounds, but it was not enough to sustain against the inside-out attack of Chestnut Hill College (12-5, 5-0). Seamus Radtke (Philadelphia, PA) balanced the floor for the Griffins and created opportunities for the backcourt. Freshman guard
Luke Dickson (Pitman, NJ) capitalized hitting 3-of-4 (75.0%) from long range for 11 first-half points, DiRugeris totaled nine points in the frame. Following intermission, DiRugeris dropped 14 points, he hit one from long range in a 4-of-8 (50.0%) shooting performance, and kept the Griffins ahead of the home team until the final buzzer.
Gil was the focus of the Clippers operation, recording three assists, a steal, and a block in addition to his 20-20 performance. Alleyne complimented Gil with a 3-of-4 (75.0%) shooting effort from beyond the arch, he finished with 17 points. Sophomore guard Norman Pope (Washington, DC) offered ten points off the bench.
The Griffins got contributions from all participants. DiRugeris finished the afternoon with 23 points, four rebounds, an assist, and a block. Dickson scored 15 points while also providing five assists and hustling to three rebounds. Comas recorded 15 points as well, he also grabbed five rebounds. Senior guard

Alssene Saintilus (Irvington, NJ) offered ten rebounds and three blocks. Sophomore guard
Jakeem Bogans (Philadelphia, PA) and Radtke each provided nine points in reserve, Radtke also grabbed seven rebounds. Freshman guard
Torrell Candelaria (Philadelphia, PA) totaled ten rebounds and made two steals off the bench.
