Nicole Parriski (Burlington, N.J.) who hit the Clippers up for nine points and six rebounds in a 40-point second half that separated the Griffins for a 69-61 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory. Parriski finished with her first double-double of the season, totaling 15 points and 10 rebounds off the Griffin bench, joining three others in double figures and leading the Scarlet and Gold to a second straight league win.
The third quarter saw the turning of the tide as the Clippers lost control in a Chestnut Hill College (5-9, 3-4) storm that overcame a 35-31 (8:28) Concordia College (NY) (3-10, 1-6) lead to end the frame up 45-43. Parriski and freshman forward
Jaeda Wildgoose (Somerset, N.J.) paved the way early, trading paint points and free throws until the Griffins emerged for a 38-37 edge with five minutes (5:13) on the front end of a three-point play from freshman guard
Mary Trossi (Somerset, N.J.). Chestnut Hill College held onto the advantage at the end of the frame, narrowly leading Concordia College (NY) 45-43 after a last-second layup. In the fourth quarter, the Griffins looked to put the Clippers away early, again using the post play of Wildgoose and Parriski to forge double-digit lead, 57-47, with 6:50 remaining in the contest. Still, sophomore guard Julianne Wilkinson (Red Hook, N.Y.) and senior center Khadijah Donaldson (Valley Stream, N.Y.) directed the Clippers' fleeting rally, which brought the home team within two points, 59-47, by 4:21, but soon faded as junior guard
Brittany McDonough (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Parriski began the Griffins' closing stretch of game-clinching free throws.
Wilkinson led the Clippers with 16 points, a pair of rebounds, an assist, and three steals, while Donaldson came off the bench for 12 points, two rebounds, and an assist. Sophomore guard Brianna Hendrick (Valley Stream, N.Y.) headlined the home team's rebounding and defensive efforts with 11 boards, two blocks, and two steals.
