Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - (2/23/2016) – Finding their stride at the most important time of the season, Chestnut Hill College scored a second straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory over a South Division rival as they triumphed, 74-70, over Philadelphia University in this evening's league finale. The Griffins led for a majority of the contest behind the combined efforts of sophomore forward

Demetrius Isaac (Philadelphia, Pa.), and freshman forward
Bryant Quill (Pottstown, Pa.); McWade and Isaac supplied 21 points apiece while Quill came off the bench for 11 points, four rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Chestnut Hill College (13-14, 10-9) scored on their first possession, 2-0 at 19:24, and at least shared the lead until a buzzer-beating layup from senior forward T.J. Huggins (Alexandria, Va.) sent Philadelphia University (21-7, 14-5) to the locker room up 29-28. In the second half, the Rams went up by five points, 34-29 at 18:04, before a free throw from freshman forward
Dakpe Yiljep (Samaru-Zaria, Nigeria) (34-30 at 17:32), and a McWade three-pointer brought the Griffins back within one point, 34-33, with 16:51 to play. The score tied three times over the next five minutes, before an Isaac layup returned the Scarlet and Gold to the lead for good, 45-43, with 11:14 remaining in the fray. Chestnut Hill College's lead reached as many as seven points, 54-47, on a poignant Quill dunk with 7:10 left and was preserved at a four-point final margin, 74-70, on his and Isaac's game-clinching free throws.
Huggins finished as the Rams' leading scorer with 20 points in addition to five rebounds, five assists, and a steal. Senior center Peter Alexis (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) offered 14 points, 13 rebounds, an assist, and a block, while sophomore forward Eric Long (Bronx, N.Y.) and junior guard Brendan Kilpatrick (Norristown, Pa.) finished with 15 and 10 points, respectively.
McWade was 7-of-13 (.538) from the floor, 3-of-7 (.429) from long range, and 4-of-6 (.667) from the free throw line while recording five rebounds, an assist, and a block. His classmate, Isaac, was 6-of-10 (.600) from the field and 9-of-10 (.900) at charity stripe while leading the Griffins with seven rebounds and four assists. Senior forward
Noel Hightower (Easton, Pa.) helped steady Chestnut Hill College with nine points, five rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal.
