Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.), who led the Scarlet and Gold with career highs in goals (6) and points (8) while additionally logging two assists, four groundballs, and three caused turnovers. O'Leary finished the contest with four goals, three assists, a groundball, and a game-high five draw controls.
Chestnut Hill College (9-5, 7-0) first got on the scoreboard on a connection between Keimig and O'Leary at 27:24, 1-0. Roughly 20 seconds later (27:05), Nyack College (4-9, 2-5) responded with their own connection between senior attacks, Karis Walborn (Nyack, N.Y.) and Victoria Lopez-Nash (Bayville, N.J.), 1-1. But from there, the Griffins went on a 12-0 scoring run which started with O'Leary's free position goal at 25:51 (2-1) and ended two second before halftime (00:02) with the second of back-to-back goals from junior midfielder
Lea Sanders (North Merrick, N.Y.), 13-1. In between, O'Leary scored the 100
th goal of her collegiate career at 13:01, putting the Griffins ahead 10-1 at the time.
Nyack College responded at the opening second stanza with two goals cutting the deficit to 13-3 before Keimig's fifth goal of the game halted the Warriors run at 14:32, 14-3. Little over five minutes later (9:18), the Warriors got another tally on a free-position goal from sophomore midfielder Victoria Silvers (Long Island, N.Y.), 14-4. From there, the Warriors never threatened again with the Griffins closing the affair on a six-goal run at a 20-4 final.
The Warriors were led by Silvers, who finished with two goals on five shots (2-of-5 .400). She also recorded a ground ball and a caused turnover. Senior attack Lauren Lebo (West Simsbury, Conn.) tallied a goal while picking up four groundballs, three draw controls, and three caused turnovers. Walborn netted a goal on two shots and senior goalkeeper Madeline Barbarino (Staten Island, N.Y.) collected nine saves, a groundball, and a caused turnover in the loss (4-10).
Keimig netted her six goals on just nine shots (6-of-9 .667) while O'Leary's seven points established a career-high for her. She is the first Griffins since Head Coach
Brianne Timony '13 to reach the 100-goal threshold, doing so in the same jersey number. Freshman midfielder
Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) and Sanders each recorded a hat-trick; the former recorded two assists, a groundball, and a caused turnover while the latter added two draw controls, a caused turnover, and game-high five groundballs. Sophomore midfielder
Hunter Leckonby (Charleston, S.C.) added three ground balls, three draws, and a caused turnover to two points (a goal and an assist). She got plenty of help on the defensive end with classmate
