Box Score Hillburn, N.Y. - (4/2/2016) – The combination of sophomore attack Dylan Klusaritz (Slatington, Pa.) and junior attack Alec Dambach (Howell, N.J.) proved lethal for Dominican College, who became Chestnut Hill College's second East Coast Conference (ECC) victim. Dominating a sloppy contest that saw the Griffins capitalize on a 41-29 ground ball advantage, the duo combined for 13 points (10 goals and three assists) in a 15-5 victory.

Senior defenseman Derick Darnulc (Baldwin, N.Y.) got Chestnut Hill College (2-6, 2-3) started early with an unassisted tally just 27 seconds after the opening face-off, 1-0. An unassisted score from sophomore midfielder Joshua Pope (Schnecksville, Pa.) then increased the advantage to 2-0 before the 13-minute mark (13:06) of the first quarter. The initial tallies were followed by a string of Dambach goals and a last-second score (0:06) from sophomore midfielder Brian Sinex (Holmes, Pa.) that gave the Griffins a commanding 6-0 heading to the second quarter. A 2-1 Griffin edge in that succeeding frame established an insurmountable 8-1 margin for the Chargers, whose four second-half scores were out done by seven more for the Scarlet and Gold, 15-5.

Dominican College freshman defenseman Aaron Yulfo (Shirley, N.Y.) led the home team with eight shots, but came away empty handed. Instead, the Chargers' five goals were split among five others while freshman midfielder David Arent (Huntington Beach, Calif.) supplied three assists. Junior midfielder Kessler Felix (Nyack, N.Y.) and sophomore defenseman Phil Shields (Belmar, N.J.) were their grinders as the former recorded six ground balls on 15 face-off victories (15-of-23, .652) and the latter scooped up six ground balls and caused three turnovers. Freshman goalkeeper Joseph Fabiilli (Glen Head, N.Y.) played a majority of the minutes (52:09) for the Chargers and made 13 saves in the loss (2-5).

Dambach was on point for Chestnut Hill College, scoring his career-high six goals on only seven shots. He also provided two assist in addition to recovering five ground balls. Klusaritz matched his career-high with four goals. He also provided an assist while hustling to two ground balls. Sinex finished with two goals, an assist, three ground balls, and a caused turnover as junior midfielder Justin Albarran (Freehold, N.J.) helped generate offense with three assists. Meanwhile, junior Daniel DePasquale (Livingston, N.J.) captained the defense with six ground balls and two caused turnovers. He got plenty of help from Darnulc, who added five ground balls and three caused turnovers to his second score of the season. Senior Drew Lamela (Brick, N.J.) and sophomore Matthew Pedrick (New Milford, N.J.) split the minutes in goal. Lamela earned the win (1-0) while Pedrick record 15 of the Griffins' 20 saves in the second half.

The Chestnut Hill College men's lacrosse team continues their ECC schedule on Saturday, April 9, when they welcome the University of the District of Columbia to the Plymouth Whitemarsh Football Stadium for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
