But not to be overshadowed, today's affair was not short on drama either with junior midfielder
Rachel Perry (Gilbertsville, Pa.) netting the game-winner on a free position shot with 1:37 (10-9) remaining. Perry, junior midfielder

Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.) finished with two goals apiece while defensively the Griffins limited the Cougars chances with ten caused turnovers and 22 ground balls.
Chestnut Hill College (10-5, 8-0) stayed a step ahead of Caldwell University (5-8, 5-4) in the first half, thanks to the aggressive two-way play of Sanders, Keimig, and junior attack
Samantha Herron (Cinnaminson, N.J.). The trio contributed to three of the Griffins five tallies in the period as well as pitched in on defense. Additional unassisted scores from junior midfielder

Erica McLaughlin (Magnolia, N.J.) (0:38) pushed the Scarlet and Gold advantage to 5-3 for intermission.
Following the break, a refocused Caldwell University used a three-goal run to take a 6-5 edge with 22:07 remaining. After a trade-off of tallies the home side still led 7-6 with 12:17 still to play. As the clock wound down the Griffins turned it on, responding with three straight individual efforts from Perry (10:57), Keimig (9:39), and freshman midfielder
Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) (5:04) that landed them a 9-7 lead heading to the final five minutes. The Cougars again took the catbird seat with their goals at 4:19 and 3:13, but the determined Griffins did not back down from the challenge as Perry's late free position shot secured a late lead, 10-9 (1:37) that was insured with a last-second (0:00) score from Keimig.
Sophomore midfielder Emily Fey (Center Moriches, N.Y.) led the Cougars with four goals and an assist. She was helped by freshman midfielder Rachel Lucia (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.), who provided two goals, a ground ball, four draws, and three caused turnovers. In goal, freshman Elizabeth Ruedemann (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) took the loss (5-8) despite recording 15 saves and four ground balls.
In excess of their two-goal games, Perry, Keimig, and Sanders combined for six ground balls, three draws, and a caused turnover. Keimig also recorded two assists while Herron added an assist, four ground balls, a draw, and a caused turnover to her first-half tally. Sophomores, midfielder
