Philadelphia, Pa. - (11/12/2017) – Chestnut Hill College continued their Jefferson Challenge tournament success today sweeping past Queens College in the second half. Outstanding offensive play from frontcourt junior forward Jaeda Wildgoose (Somerset, N.J.) and sophomore forward Shannon Glenn (Philadelphia, Pa.) both sharing 20 points each, were the ultimate keys to the Griffins 84-67 victory.

At 7:46 Chestnut Hill College (2-0) was down 2-5 but a three-pointer from senior guard Vicky Tumasz (North Wales, Pa.) tied the affair 5-5 with 7:39 left. The Griffins took advantage of the early edge cushioning an 11 point lead at the end of the first period, 26-15.

Despite the double-digit margin, Queens College's (0-2) determination for a win allowed them to tie the second quarter 32-32 with 6:39 on the clock after a steal from freshman guard Lucy Tougas (Glen Falls, N.Y.) resulted in a made layup. The teams exchanged points throughout but an aggressive play with eight seconds left by Tumasz landed her at the free-throw line sinking both shots ending the half 45-43.

In the second half of play Chestnut Hill College tuned in defensively holding the Knights to 10 points.
