During the first half of play Chestnut Hill College (0-2) kept within a close range of West Chester University (2-0) being within a one point margin at 14:18, 12-10; but a junior forward Jackson Hyland (Avondale, Pa.) three pointer (13:52) gave the Rams the lift they needed to slowly pull away, 15-10. The Griffins found difficulty at the 11 minute mark, being at a standstill with only 15 points until Awl broke the scoreless five-minutes with a successful three pointer (6:18), 27-18. Hyland headlined for the Rams recording 17 points, three rebounds, and two steals, followed by a 14 points and six rebounds effort from senior guard Tyrell Long (Philadelphia, Pa.). Freshman guard Frank Rokins (Plainfield, N.J.) added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds while sophomore center Tim Toro (Scranton, Pa.) chipped in 10 points in the 71-45 win.
Isaac added three rebounds and three assists to his 15 points for Chestnut Hill College and Awl recorded 10 points on a .222 shooting percentage, three rebounds, and two steals. Junior forward
