The Griffins led initially, but the Tigers took their first lead at 14:50, 9-6, and opened up a double digit, 23-12, advantage five minutes later (9:31), before leading by 15 points, 50-35, at halftime, and 24 points, 100-76, at the final buzzer. Demetrius Isaac (Philadelphia, Pa.) was the main attraction for the Scarlet and Gold, coming within eight points of 1,000 for his collegiate career with 25 points in the loss.

Chris Evans (Norristown, Pa.) gave Chestnut Hill College (1-10, 0-4) a 6-2 lead at 17:18. Unfortunately, Holy Family University (2-9, 1-3) combated the initial Scarlet and Gold advantage with a 10-2 run that awarded them a four-point, 12-8, lead just before the 13-minute mark (13:06). By 9:31, the Tigers extended their lead to double digits, 23-12, and in the final five minutes of the first half their advantage grew to as many as 20 points, 46-26 (3:07), before settling at 15 points, 50-35, for intermission.
Chestnut Hill College tried to get things back on track at the start of the second half, but the Tigers were tough to put back in the cage as Holy Family University gradually extended their advantage to 22 points, 70-48, by the 12-minute mark (12:01). Their lead lingered there for the next 10 minutes, eventually escalating to many as 26 points, 100-74 (1:19), before a pair of last-minute free throws from sophomore guard
Billy Miller VI (Pine Hill, N.J.) reduced the final margin to 24 points, 100-76.
Freshman guard Terrell Jones (Ardmore, Pa.) led all scorers with 29 points, but junior forward Jalen Thompson (Wilmington, Del.) was the Tigers top performer with a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds. The duo also combined for eight assists, a block, and a steal. Freshman guard Michael Power (Philadelphia, Pa.) offered 18 points, six rebounds, an assist, and a steal, while junior guard Mekhi Bryant (Fairless Hills, Pa.) and sophomore guard Maliq Sanders (Voorhees, N.J.) chipped in 10 points apiece.
Isaac was 8-of-13 (.615) from the floor and 7-of-8 (.875) from the free throw line while grabbing three rebounds, handing out six assists, and making a steal. Evans and junior guard
Cartier Talford (Reading, Pa.) both scored a dozen (12) points for Chestnut Hill College; the former added eight rebounds and an assist, while the latter also offered a rebound and three assists.
