Box Score Bloomfield, N.J. - (1/20/2018) – Chestnut Hill College's recent six-game winning streak came to an end with today's 85-74 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss at Bloomfield College. Senior guard Vicky Tumasz (North Wales, Pa.) led four Griffins in double figures and a 27-of-30 (.900) team free throw effort kept the Scarlet and Gold in the game despite a 54-38 rebounding deficit. But it was junior forward Jaeda Wildgoose (Somerset, N.J.) who provided the silver lining for Chestnut Hill College (12-7, 8-2) with the 1,000^th point of her collegiate career coming on the first if two free throws at 2:03 (35-29) of the second quarter.


Senior forward Zhane Robinson (Newark, N.J.) recorded the larger of two Bloomfield College double-doubles with 30 points and 15 of the Bears' 54 rebounds. Junior forward Deja Mckenzie (Baltimore, Md.) contributed the other with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Additional support was provided by senior guards, Kiamsha Bynes (Piscataway, N.J.) and Aanise Barnes (Newark, N.J.). Bynes totaled 13 points, four rebounds, eight assists, a block, and a steal, while Barnes reported 12 points, seven rebounds, and a steal.
 
Tumasz was 4-of-9 (.444) from three point range in a 7-of-15 (.467) shooting performance that came with four made free throws (4-of-5, .800) and five rebounds. After becoming the eighth 1,000-point scorer in Chestnut Hill College women's basketball history, Wildgoose finished the game with 13 points, nine rebounds, and an assist. Sophomore forward Shannon Glenn (Philadelphia, Pa.) offered 17 points, four rebounds, and an assist to the cause, while junior guard Mary Trossi (Somerset, N.J.) broke out of her recent scoring drought by hitting all eight of her free throws (8-of-8, 1.000) in a 14-point performance that came with three rebounds, four assists, and a steal.
 
The Chestnut Hill College women's basketball team returns home to Sorgenti Arena on Wednesday, January 24, to host Jefferson University in a 6:00 p.m. CACC contest.
