Box Score Lafayette Hill, Pa. – (3/14/2018) – Today, Wednesday, March 14, was Chestnut Hill College's first opportunity to defend their home turf. Unfortunately, the Griffins' best efforts were deterred by a 19-5 outburst from #19 East Stroudsburg University (ESU) Warriors. Freshman goalkeeper Shenna Grady (West Chester, Pa.) totaled 17 saves after taking the net midway through the 13^th minute (12:21), but could not slow down ESU's balanced attack.
 
East Stroudsburg University (1-1) went on an 4-0 run over the opening 25:01, led by sophomore midfielder Hanna Cicerelle (Broadway, N.J.), who collected two goals during the time. Chestnut Hill College (1-2) ended the run on goal by senior attack Julia Galantich (Clinton Corners, N.Y.) at 21:05 (4-1), unfortunately, the Griffins were not able to capitalize on the tally and continued to trail the Warriors to a 12-3 halftime deficit. In the second half, junior midfielder Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) scored a pair of Griffins goals (20:46, 10:53) in an early exchange to tallies, 14-5, but the game ended with five unanswered Warrior tallies.
 
Cicerelle led ESU with four goals, one assist, and two ground balls. She was complimented by hat tricks from junior attack TJ Jefferis (Phoenixville, Pa.) and freshman attack Bailey McMaster (Garnet Valley, Pa.). Junior midfielder Emma Rufolo (Woodstock, Md.) chipped in two goals, while seven other Warriors offered one goal apiece. Sophomore goalkeeper Tatyana Petteway (Nanuet, N.Y.) recorded the win (1-1) with 10 saves in the opening 47:14.
 
Reinert logged two goals, one assist, and two ground balls leading Chestnut Hill College. Senior midfielder Erica McLaughlin (Magnolia, N.J.), sophomore midfielder Spencer Fitzgerald (Huntingtown, Md.), and Galantich all contributed one goal.
 
The Chestnut Hill College women's lacrosse teams returns to the road on Monday, March 19, to take on the University of Bridgeport in a 4:00 p.m. contest.
