Chestnut Hill College (5-22, 5-15) broke the opener's scoreless tie in the fifth inning, where a leadoff single from sophomore second baseman

Jessica Pulis (Baldwin, N.Y.) put the Scarlet and Gold tally on the scoreboard, 1-0. The Griffins added to their advantage in the seventh inning, using a one-out single from junior first baseman

Brielle Riotte (Elizabeth, N.J.), a Pulis single, a fielder's choice and Magee's single to eventually plate a pair of runs, 3-0. Concordia College (5-17, 3-13) looked to rally in their final at-bat, scoring once before Eberhard closed the door with a pair of ground outs, 3-1.
The Griffins built a lead in game two as well, using Magee's second-inning, one-out triple and a ground out from sophomore centerfielder
Cailey Stevenson (Burbank, Calif.) to score a run in the second inning, 1-0, and a pair of Clipper errors to plate two more in the third inning, 3-0. Concordia College closed the gap with a two unearned runs in the sixth inning, but Barry endured the defensive miscue and 10 Clipper hits to earn the win. She struck out two.
The Chestnut Hill College softball team continues a busy weekend of CACC play tomorrow, Sunday, April 22, with a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader at Georgian Court University.
