Wildgoose To Be Honored As Griffins' All-Time Leading Scorer Prior to Saturday Tipoff

Philadelphia, Pa. - (1/11/2019) - Just 1:41 after the opening tipoff (6-5, 7:19 1QTR) at Goldey-Beacom College on Wednesday, January 2 (L, 66-71), senior forward Jaeda Wildgoose (Franklin Township, N.J.) made Chestnut Hill College women's basketball history, establishing herself as the program's all-time leading scorer (Ruairi Sullivan '00, 1,277 points) with the 1,278th point of her collegiate career. She also became the Scarlet and Gold's all-time leading rebounder in the same contest, surpassing Andrea Carter '07 with her 727th career rebound. Prior to the start of Saturday's, January 12, contest versus Bloomfield College, the Chestnut Hill College Department of Athletics and Recreation will formally recognize Wildgoose for her tremendous career accomplishment.

Wildgoose is a two-time All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) performer (2017-2018: 1st Team, 2015-2016: 3rd Team) and was named the CACC Rookie of the Year after averaging 13.4 points per game (PPG) and a team-high, 7.8 rebounds per game (RPG) during a 2015-2016 campaign that saw the Griffins (12-15, 10-9, 4th in CACC South Division) reach their first-ever CACC postseason. During a stellar junior season (2017-2018), the two-year captain (2017-2018, 2018-2019) scored the 1,000th point of her collegiate career on January 20, 2018 (L, 74-85 @ Bloomfield College) and set program's all-time, single-season marks in offensive rebounds (101) and field goals made (171), while ranking among the top-10 in 10 other statistical categories. That year, she finished the season averaging 15.6 PPG and 8.3 RPG, while ranking among the CACC top-10 in eight statistical categories, including rebounds (9th, 242), free throw percentage (8th, .821), PPG (6th), RPG (5th), points (5th, 452), field goals made (3rd), free throws made (3rd, 110), and field goal percentage – for which she served as the league leader with a .543 (171-of-315) success rate.

Wildgoose was named the CACC January 2018 Student-Athlete of the Month, a 2017-2018 Diverse Issues in Higher Education; Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar, and was inducted in to the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. Wildgoose is a two-time member of the CACC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team and the Division II Athletic Director Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Team, as well as, a six-time member of both the Chestnut Hill College Dean's List and Athletics Academic Honor Roll. She was also the 2017-2018 Chestnut Hill College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Women's Basketball Team Representative.
