New Haven, Conn. – (2/29/2020) – With Saturday's (February 29) slate of league action bringing the 2019-2020 regular season to a close, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has officially announced the field for the 2019-2020 Women's Basketball Championship Tournament. Chestnut Hill College finished the regular season at 11-17 overall and 10-9 in league play to serve as the #4 seed in the CACC South Division.

Therefore, they will meet #1N Post University in a quarterfinal contest on Tuesday, March 3 (5:30 p.m.). Additional Tuesday, CACC Quarterfinal matchups include; #3N Caldwell University at #2S Holy Family University (6:00 p.m.), #4N Nyack College at #1S USciences (the University of the Sciences) (6:00 p.m.), and #3S Thomas Jefferson University at #2N Dominican College (5:30 p.m.)
Earlier this season – on Saturday, January 25 - Post University (21-5, 16-3) brought a four-game Chestnut Hill College (11-17, 10-9) win streak to an end with a 90-62 final. The Eagles mired the Scarlet and Gold behind a 61-19 rebounding deficit that gave the home team plenty of extra possessions. Post University held a 49-31 halftime lead and led the Griffins by as many as 31 points, 76-45 (1:48), late in the third quarter, before closing the affair with a 28-point edge. Sophomore forward Bri Hewlett (North Wales, Pa.) came off the bench for a team, season, and career-high 21 points. Her performance was complimented by a season-high 18 points from sophomore guard Rachael Millan (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) and a 14-point effort from sophomore guard Lauren Crim (Warrington, Pa.).
Tuesday's four quarterfinal winners will advance to the CACC Championship Weekend at USciences next Saturday (March 7) and Sunday (March 8).
