2021 CACC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll
New Haven, Conn. - (3/4/2021) – In the latest set of forecasted standings to be announced by league commissioner Dan Mara, the 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll included Chestnut Hill College achieving a fourth-place finish with 58 total points. The league's head coaches designated three-time defending CACC Champion, Georgian Court University as the favorite; the Lions garnered six of the nine available first-place votes to pace the field with 86 points.
 
2021 CACC Womens Lacrosse Preseason Coaches PollThe 2021 CACC Women's Lacrosse season was predicted to be a competitive one, as Thomas Jefferson University (79 Total Points, 2 First-Place Votes) and Wilmington University (74, 1) each received first-place votes in the preseason poll. Chestnut Hill College (54) followed the Wildcats and edged out the remainder of the league; Caldwell University (53), Dominican College (51), Holy Family University (47), Post University (38), Nyack College (34), and Felician University (20).
 
Georgian Court University (86, 6) returns 2019 All-CACC Second Team performer, junior midfielder Madison Heck (Forked River, N.J.) atop a roster that went 1-6 in their COVID-halted, 2020 season. Meanwhile, Jefferson will be led by the 2019 CACC Defensive Player of the Year and All-CAC First Team performer, junior midfielder Erin Campbell (Cherry Hill, N.J.). The Rams were 0-4 before the 2020 shutdown. Lastly, 2019 CACC Coach of the Year, Kevin Day welcomes sophomore goalkeeper Tori Grubowski (Bel Air, Md.) as the lone All-CACC Wildcat (2nd Team) returning to a Wilmington University roster that was 1-6 prior to the pandemic.
 
Chestnut Hill College completed four games in their COVID-19 shortened season; the abbreviated schedule included bookend home contests against Shepherd University (L, 9-11 on February 22) and St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) (L, 6-19 on March 12), as well as, sandwiched road engagements at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) (L, 3-19 on February 25) and Frostburg State University (L, 6-18 on February 29).
 
The Scarlet and Gold will look to four seniors; defender Lily Corrigan (Bristol, Pa.), midfielder Gab Fanfarillo (Glassboro, N.J.), defender Angela Faraglia (Clifton Heights, Pa.), and attack Alyssa Kuykendall (Dillsburg, Pa.) for leadership on a roster that includes eight sophomores and three freshmen. Statistically, the top returning Griffins are sophomore midfielders Madyson Schwartz (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Danielle Vassallo (Hicksville, N.Y); the former finished 2020 with three goals, nine ground balls, two draws, and four caused turnovers, while the latter found a home in the center circle with 17 draws controls in excess of her three points (2 goals, 1 assist), 15 ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
