Mikayla Grimes, a senior outside hitter on the Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team, was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll for her performance in the Griffins' two matches last week.
This week's honor marks the third time this season that Grimes has been named to the conference weekly honor roll, earning recognition in week one and week three of the season.
In Saturday's match against the University of Bridgeport, Grimes recorded a team-high 16 kills, becoming just the fifth player on program history to record 300 or more kills in a single season. She added eight digs and two aces in the contest.
Opening the week, Grimes had seven kills and 11 digs in a win over Goldey-Beacom college, allowing the Griffins to clinch their first CACC Tournament spot since the 2016 season.
For the week, Grimes had 23 kills, giving he 308 for the season; 19 digs, three blocks and three aces as the Griffins went 1-1 in their two matches.
The Chestnut Hill College women's volleyball team will close out their regular season on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 with a match at CACC South division rival Jefferson University. Tip off is set for 6:00 p.m.
